Jakub Ahmadyar A Manager Who Comes to Build

Jakub, what is your role at MyQ? I know you are one of the founders, what else does this role involve?

My role at MyQ is evolving. I started as a printer hardware developer at Janus, then moved into embedded development and worked my way up to a project management role. Every role I move into is a challenge, so I try to set up a process for the role I'm in.  I am now working as a Development Manager.

How would you describe MyQ's two products, MyQ X and MyQ Roger, to a new colleague, ideally a programmer?

MyQ X is a complete print management solution. We've rewritten almost all the code several times over the last few years, still using C++, PHP, Dot net .NET technologies.

MyQ Roger is our new product, I would call it an intuitive virtual assistant for the digital workplace. This software is entirely based on .NET. It is a fully cloud-based application using the latest cutting-edge technology approaches. It intertwines development with Dev OS. The developers take care of the entire platform to maximise the security and productivity of this software.

How is MyQ Roger being developed?

Our MyQ Roger app is fully functional on the App Store and Google Store. We are constantly trying to improve it, evolve it and create new functional upgrades. This is an extremely fast-moving area in general, so we do our best to keep up and stay ahead. We are always incorporating new developments into new releases to help people simplify their document, scanning and printing workflow.

Jakub, can I ask what you do when you're not working?

I generally enjoy learning new things. My passion is travelling and when I have time I try archery. I spend a lot of time with my dogs. You could say I enjoy anything that pushes me forward, allows me to develop in many ways and makes me happy.
